Photos and scans: preparing your documents for translation
A clear, complete photo is enough to get a quote. Accepted formats, number of files and common mistakes.
No professional scanner needed: a good phone photo is enough to get the exact price in our order form.
What makes a good photo
- the whole page, no cut corners;
- the document flat, well lit, without glare;
- sharp, readable text, including stamps and signatures;
- the back side too, if it has text or stamps.
Accepted formats
PDF, JPG, PNG, WEBP, TIFF, DOC, DOCX and TXT. Up to 10 files per request, 25 MB maximum per file.
Common mistakes
- a missing page in a multi-page document;
- the same page sent twice;
- other people’s documents mixed into the request;
- handwritten notes on the copy.
